The APA is a strong voice for our neighborhood. Every property owner and resident benefits from the APA regardless of membership status. Members have a significant impact in contributing to the financial viability of our association with your yearly membership dues. More importantly, your voice and personal participation allows for more community engagement and a stronger association that represents a diverse collective of ideas and viewpoints.
We keep residents informed through e-newsletters and social media, sharing timely information about public meetings, local issues, and decisions that impact our daily lives.
By working alongside other civic groups the APA helps support and advance local initiatives that serves the interests of our community.
The following is a partial list of initiatives the APA has either directly organized or has supported in conjunction with other organizations who work to improve our community:
Anyone Interested in the Algiers Point neighborhood who supports the purpose of the APA can become a member.
Voting Members must reside within the area bounded by the Mississippi River, Newton Street, and Atlantic Avenue; or own property or a business in Algiers Point.
Join by contributing your APA membership due.
This membership covers your entire household for one year, giving you access to all APA updates, events, and the chance to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of our beautiful community. New members who join the APA after July 1st will be charged a fee of $12.50 for membership through the end of the year.
For our senior residents, enjoy the same great benefits at a discounted rate. This household membership is available to anyone 65 and older, and helps you stay connected and engaged with the community.
Promote your business while supporting the Algiers Point Association! Business members receive a link to their business on the APA website, boosting visibility while contributing to the growth of our neighborhood.
